Meet the Chef

I’m Nilüfer, the chef and founder of Nilu’s Kitchen. Food has been at the centre of my life and career for more than ten years, taking me through professional kitchens, recipe development and hospitality operations, and eventually leading me to build my own food business in Sydney.

My cooking is influenced by the generous flavours of Turkish cuisine, professional kitchen experience and a curiosity for food from different cultures. I enjoy creating menus that feel comforting and familiar while still being thoughtful, balanced and suited to the occasion.

Whether I’m preparing food for a private gathering, developing a new menu or refining a recipe, my approach is always the same: good ingredients, careful preparation and no shortcuts.
